Jayden has been walking across furniture for a good while now, but never really seemed interested in letting go. A few times we have caught him standing by himself, but once he realized what he was doing he would sit down quickly.
We had tried to work with him on standing and walking earlier in the day on Sunday, but all he could manage to do was face-plant. We had been trying to get him to just stand on his own too, but he would get too excited and fall. Josh's parents were here Sunday evening and Pappy was trying to get him to just stand again, but he was still struggling to get it down. When they were leaving he got his bye-bye kisses, then Pappy went to put him down on the floor and he took 2 steps towards his activity table. We were stunned. Josh was not even in the house, so I ran to get him and he got to see him take a few steps too.
I tried to get him to walk some more today, but he did not seem to be to into it. He took some more steps once Josh got home when we worked with him after dinner, but not more than a few steps at a time. It was not until Aunt Amanda and Uncle Justin came over that he really started to get the hang of it. That is when we got these videos. My mom, Darryl, and Issac came over to see for themselves and he actually walked about 12 feet and took several steps to get to Mamaw Marcy, but we did not have the camera handy.
We are so proud of our baby boy. We hope you enjoy the videos as much as we do.
